A gathering of 9 of our U.S. west coast members in the spirit of “Communitas” to further solidify our connection as well as to discuss future regional growth and generating a greater sense of regional member cohesion.

After Full Member review and approval, the Conclave formally adopted our standard internal communications protocols for the use of our members.

After Full Member approval, the official release of our Conclave Ethical Commitments document was added to the Conclave website.

Our regular bi-annual gathering hosted 12 members including 4 of our most recently inducted Affiliate Members. This convocation included a deeper community dialog and wisdom council clearly recognizing everything we have accomplished to date. How we have organically developed over time and a shared collective visioning process for the sustainable growth of our collective including how we may powerfully choose to impact, nourish and positively influence the growing global 5-MeO/Bufo Community for the future. Adoption of the Conclave’s Internal Operations Manual and “The Body” model outlining and clarifying the overarching structure of the collective with associated responsibilities and available resources. Appointment of our Communications Coordinator, Library Archivist & Cyber-Security Officer. Established our new Outreach and In-reach Working Groups. General discussion and planning of our upcoming Spring 2020 convocation gathering. We also held our regular rotation of Core Council leadership with the unanimous nomination & election of our newest Core Council Member by the Full Membership.

The launch of Our Internal Conclave Library Archive, a comprehensive, confidential, cloud-based, online library resource of a full spectrum of relevant research articles and related practical materials made freely available to all Conclave members.

Another application and letter of support was received and approved by the Core Council welcoming in our first “non-practitioner” Honorary Member; recognizing the necessity of a variety of multi-disciplinary contributions to the collective and that there are many ways to serve our growing community and movement.

Online release via our website of our newly revised Synopsis of our “Best Practices” document specifically crafted to assist interested persons and potential new participants approaching this work for the first time.

Application and letters of support were received and approved by the Core Council welcoming in 2 distinguished Canadian practitioners into Honorary Membership designation within the collective.

Virtual soft launch and public release of our official Conclave website including our Mission, Vision & Agreements, Best Practices Document (in both English & Spanish) & Integration Guidelines. This launch also included an initial release of a preliminary version of our Ethical Commitments document developed by our Ethics Committee & Working Group.

Launch of our on-going Affiliate Members Program under the purview of the Core Council, which has (as of January 2020) welcomed 13 new Affiliate Members into the Conclave since it’s inception from all around the globe. This includes Affiliates from around the U.S., Canada, Columbia, Israel & the Czech Republic. One affiliate has moved rapidly into Full Membership. 3 others were welcomed into Associate Membership at our Fall 2019 Convocation gathering. We look forward to receiving more Affiliate practitioners into our growing collective.

Our first international Peer Review in conjunction with several independent Australasian practitioners under the guidance of the Conclave Core Council & Peer Review Committee utilizing our formal Peer Review Process with the intention of establishing connection and alignment with an autonomous Australasian node. This international member was recently received as a Full Member after attending our Fall 2019 Convocation.

Once again, held on the west coast of the U.S. with 15 returning members from the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Australia with our first new member from Europe. Formal adoption of our “Membership Structures & Protocols” clearly outlining and articulating our collective organizational structure and guidelines including the requirements and benefits of each membership category. Established and formally adopted our Affiliate Members invitation/application process and protocols including the appointment of an Affiliate Members Coordinator. Establishment of a Regional Outreach Coordinator (ROC) for developing greater global outreach, connection and collaboration between independent practitioners. Establishment of the office of Parlimentarian to assist the Core Council & Full Membership with questions of process and protocols. Wisdom Council discussed concepts of global outreach and the conscious co-creation of a fractal synarchy & autonomous nodal network of self-organizing international practitioners. Further discussed effective training programs, protocols and guidelines being currently offered for assisting new practitioners in developing best practices and duty of care. Core Council rotation and election of a new Core Council member by the Full Membership.

Launch of our formal online Peer Review process, coordinated by our elected Peer Review Coordinator bringing 14 Associate Members into Full Membership designation by the following spring 2019 Convocation. The Peer Review process is ongoing and continues as one of our key practices to assist in fully aligning and integrating members of the collective with our Mission, Vision & Commitments, Best Practices and Ethical guidelines of the Conclave.

Our second official 4 day gathering in the western U.S. hosted 12 returning members and welcomed 4 new Associate Members from the U.S., Canada & Mexico. The gathering included formalization and adoption of our collective’s organizational structure and membership protocols including the establishment and election of our initial 3 person Core Council to serve as a rotating, guiding directorial board. Formal adoption and “in vivo” beta-test launch of our formal Peer Review Process in recognition of “Full Membership” into the Conclave and designation of “Associate Member” category extended to all members who attend at least one of our regular Convocation gatherings. Initial discussions for developing an introductory “Affiliate Member” category for on-boarding new members.

A casual, informal gathering of 9 Conclave Members along with a number of other practitioners, experts and stakeholders in the 5-MeO/Bufo community from Australia, Mexico, Europe and the U.S. who met to get to know one another better and familiarize themselves with aspects of the Conclave’s Mission and to discuss further ideas of how to better interface with and impact the growing global 5-MeO/Bufo community.

Public online release of principle Conclave documents including our “Best Practices”, “Integration & Grounding” and “Vision, Mission & Agreements” documents via multiple online platforms in advance of the 2018 Exploring Psychedelics Conference (Ashland, OR), the Los Angeles Psychedelic Science Symposium (LAPPS) and the inaugural World Bufo Alvarius Congress (WBAC) in Mexico City.

Invitations were extended to and accepted by 2 candidates in the U.S. and Australia establishing our Honorary Member designation specifically extended to those that have played a particularly distinguished role in serving the 5-MeO/Bufo community at large.

Our first official 4 day gathering attended by 17 practitioners including 9 of the original 14 attendees plus 8 new attendees primarily from the U.S. & Australia. Wisdom council process discussing the spectrum of individual offerings and essentials of developing “Best Practices”. Established initial internal structures and basic communications protocols for the collective in addition to the development of our general organizational structure and membership protocols. Election of a “Convener” to arrange for and develop themes for future biannual “convocation” gatherings. Establishment of various developmental teams and “Working Groups” to begin drafting Best Practices & Ethical protocols, etc. and continued internal development and community outreach. Co-created, developed and finalized drafting and adoption of the Conclave “Vision, Mission & Agreements” by all present.

In advance of our first formal gathering our foundational members agreed upon and began actively utilizing our secure, online collaborative communications platform to allow for our initial interface and preliminary organizational development.

Our first gathering in the Western U.S. included 14 practitioners, experts and community stakeholders from 4 countries including the eastern & western U.S., eastern & western Canada, Mexico & Australia. This gathering served as a seminal visioning session to gather & discuss preliminary aspects of our collective mission and how to positively influence and impact the 5-MeO/Bufo community toward developing basic ideas and concepts in regard to best practices, responsibilities and duty of care as well as how to best coalesce and begin organizing as a global collective of aligned, independent and conscientious sovereign practitioners.
